The Palazzo stands in the heart of Venice, Rio Trovaso, one of its wider and most charming canals and quarters, near the "Accademia" of fine arts, one of the fineest art collections in Italy and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. The appartment used to be owned by the families of the two "doges" and was entirely rebuilt in the 18th century by Gian Antonio Selva, architect of the great "Fenice" theatre. It is now owned by a professor of architecture at Venice University. It occupies the third and fourth floor plus roof terrace and is served by an elevator. Large living room with seven windows overlooking the small canal, a beautiful line of palazzi and the bridge of Wonders ("Maravegie"). Gondolas float by below accompanied by arias and accordion music. The Palazzo is situated in "Dorsoduro" quarter.
Area Description
It is close to the British Consulate, the Anglican Church and the Accademia Hotel, much favoured by royal families.
Transport
A car is not necessary
It is on the main boat ferry line between the stops of "Accademia" and "Zattere".
